FHLM Dec/Jan/Feb Update

Happy New Year!!

Christmas Snip-It:

We all had a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year! I hope and pray that you all did too! The week of Christmas Rock, David and I had a few baking and craft days. Rock and I really got ambitious and made a jelly cake roll! It turned out to be so delicious! David and I really worked on crafts for the Christmas tree. We made paper stars and spray painted pine cones gold to hang on the Christmas tree. Christmas Eve day the boys and I spent the WHOLE day cooking for Christmas Day. We made everything from pork, chicken, to stuffing and carrot soufflé. There is a first for everything, so believe it or not I even hand my hand in slaughtering one of the fresh hens that we cooked. That said we were all exhausted but sure were ready for Christmas Day dinner! That night we started a “family” tradition and read Twas’ the Night Before Christmas and the Christmas Story in Luke 2:1-20 Christmas. We even had Father Christmas come to the house that night. The reason I know is because David text me to make sure that I wasn’t scared because he said he heard Father Christmas in the house filling our Christmas stockings. The morning broke and in fact Father Christmas had been there giving us presents and filling the stockings and the boys were very excited!! We all went to church service that morning and then we went over to Liz’s house for Christmas dinner. Gees was there a dinner!! All 13 of us enjoyed a Christmas Feast! The Lord certainly provided a joyous, Blessed, and bountiful Christmas for us.

Exciting New Year:

2012 was ushered in with all of us at Children’s Park in Masaka town praising the Lord and praying! We all attended a national prayer and praise celebration on New Year’s Eve. I couldn’t make an “overnight”, so I headed home about 1am, but the boys were praising the Lord until day break! New Years Day I made it to church to thank the Lord for the New Year and all He is going to do this year. I have to say, He already has blessed me, the boys and FHLM!

In January I moved into a new house (apartment) that I will soon be sharing with my future husband, Rogers. We are planning a wedding for 31 March. January 16-22 we were all blessed to be able to attend the 6th Annual GRIP Conference at our church, Masaka Pentecostal Church. It was a week long day conference with amazing praise & worship, inspiring speakers, wonderful dance. I have to thank the Lord for speaking to me at the GRIP extension of the Wednesday mid-week service. The Lord not only gave me a vision and confirmation of what He has for the ministry & my gifting, but He also blessed me with the visiting Pastor, Wilberforce, laying hands on me confirming that the Lord was going to bestow the blessing and anointing faster than I could imagine.

After the GRIP Conference I had little time to do all the final preparations for my 6 week trip to the U.S. Also I had to get Rock ready to start his second year of secondary school. We got all his requirements purchased and his fees paid for. I’m very excited to see him fulfilling his dreams of completing school. In January David got involved with a Christian and U.K. sponsored football (soccer) team called Synergy. He had been practicing intently everyday and all of that practice paid off when his team received 2nd place in a recent tournament. He is still practicing and working hard on improving his football skills. On 29 January I flew out of Entebbe on a 26 hour journey to the U.S. I landed in Denver on 30 Jan very tired but excited to be in the U.S. for a visit. Over the next 6 weeks I will be seeing family, friends, and presenting all God has for FHLM in 2012 to four churches, San Diego House of Prayer group, one women’s group and one university in three states. I’m SO, SO thrilled for ALL the Lord has for FHLM, the boys and me in 2012!!! It is truly going to be a year of change!! The wind is blowing!!!!!

Prayer Request:
• For safe travels while I’m in the U.S.
• For Rock to focus on his studies and continue his high marks.
• For David to receive favorable UNEB Test scores and be advanced to Secondary 5
• Favor with the churches, university, SDHOP and women’s group I will be presenting to.
• For the future volunteers and missionaries that will be coming to Uganda in 2012.
• For provision of $1,800 for my round trip return trip ticket to Uganda in March.
• For my brother, Rob, to be able to attend Rogers & my wedding in March.
• For God to Bless, sanctify and anoint Rogers & my future marriage and partnership in ministry.
