Rita Bulegeya- Founder/Director

Rita received her Certificate in Travel in 1991 and worked in the Travel Industry for 8 years. She was then in the business world for 12 years and held various positions with large U.S. companies. In 2006 she received an Associates of Arts degree in Business Administration from Mira Mesa College-San Diego.

Rita began ministering in East Africa in 2004 and in 2010 was called to start Faith Hope Love Missions (FHLM). In the last 11 years FHLM has discipled countless youth in Masaka and is fulfilling the ministry vision of “Transforming Generations in the Ways of Jesus Christ”.

The FHLM SOAR Youth Project was established in 2010 and assists vulnerable youth with educational school fees & requirements from secondary school up to technical or university level. It also assist the most vulnerable youth of the project with meals, clothing, housing, and medical care.

Since serving in Masaka, Rita has seen the direct need for orphaned and vulnerable youth to have a safe place to gather. This led to the establishment of the FHLM Youth Centre in 2014. The Centre provides solid educational and spiritual foundations to the SOAR & community youth through many activities including.

In March of 2012, Rita married Rogers Bulegeya, a Ugandan businessman  and ministry leader.  In 2015 Rita was blessed to co-found Hilltop Church, where she serves as an Elder and ministry leader.

Rita has a passion for discipleship, teaching and developing the youth of Uganda into powerful men and woman of God. She humbly hopes that her work will leave a legacy on Uganda’s future generations and her work will glorify God’s Kingdom, as the ministry continues to bring people “Faith, Hope, & Love” (1 Corinthians 13:13).
