Evangelism: Does your heart beat to tell the story and love of Jesus? Then evangelism is for you. Reach out to the community with door to door & street evangelism, village crusades & prayer meetings. Or you can use your passion to share Christ to kids at Vacation Bible Schools.
Outreach: Do you want to help the community and work with orphaned youth and children? Then village community outreach projects are for you! They can include youth school outreach, mentoring, life skill teaching, discipleship, leadership training, team building, HIV/AIDS prevention and sensitization, sanitation and hygiene, First Aid and general public health.
Construction: Do you like to work with your hands, build, get dirty, and leave something behind? Construction is what this is all about. This would consist of refurbishing a school or village church buildings, painting classrooms and the outside of builds, rendering plaster, assisting in building pit latrines, building fences, or playgrounds.
Teaching: Do you love pouring into the lives of youth & children? Youth Center and village school teaching opportunities can include religious studies, arts & crafts, structured play, music/singing, sports, health, and academics. Volunteers choose which subjects and age groups to teach upon arrival. They work independently to plan lessons using government curriculum and textbooks. Please be aware that there will be few (if any) resources available at school. Volunteers should bring any supplies, teaching materials, or instruments they wish to make use of. The main focus is to provide children with a loving, creative and interactive environment in which to flourish.
Sports Outreach: Are you athletic? Do you like the outdoors? You can make an impact here for the kingdom of God doing what you love to do—playing football, volleyball, basketball, netball or rugby!
Music Outreach:
Many of the youth supported by FHLM and the youth of the community are very musically minded. If you sing, play guitar, keyboard, or any other instruments you can put your gifts and talents to use to Glorify the Lord and teach praise and worshipÂ
