Stateside Furlough

On 30 Feb, I started a 6 week stateside furlough. In the last two weeks God has revealed Himself in many ways! First off God has shown His amazing love through my family, in Colorado, as they have been hosting me at their houses, feeding me and allowing me to receive some much needed rest & relaxation. I thank you Lisa, Chelsea, Rob and Jackie! Also I have been honored to speak to a group of students at the University of Colorado-Boulder’s Global Studies Residential Academic Program (G-RAP). The students were very interested in what Uganda is like and what we as FHLM are doing in the country. Our hope is to have students to come to Masaka to help with community and village outreach programs like; playground builds, construction projects or teaching. On Sunday, 12 Feb, I was very blessed and humbled to able to speak at Impact Christian Church’s Grow 2012 Class. That Sunday morning there was an outpouring of the Holy Spirit and we were all impacted by what God lead me to speak upon; restoration, repentance and victory. I thank the Lord for speaking through me. During my time in Colorado I was invited by a member of Impact church to one their weekly Bible Studies. The study was on discipleship and it reveled to me a deeper sense of what it means to disciple someone.

Yesterday I flew into San Diego, CA to start an 11 day visit with friends and attend my home church, Maranatha Chapel’s, mission conference. The Lord was at work again last night when I attended a Bible Study held at my friends’, Desmond & Nancy, home. The study was very impactful as the leader, Scott, taught us about Jesus being our cornerstone, building a strong foundation as a person, and as a Christians for the Lord. Scott also gave me much insight into the culture of the time and a profound understanding of the word.
I am excited to see what else the Lord will reveal to me in the next few weeks!!

• God to continue to provide His provision and care for me while in the states
• The Yearly FHLM Budget and needs to be meet while fundraising
• Money for my return ticket to Uganda to come in
• The Lord to watch over, care for and love David & Rock in my absence
