Let Her Fly High

At the beginning of 3rd Term FHLM officially took on Annet Scolar Tumushabe, as the first girl of our Spread Their Wings school sponsorship program. Scolar, as she is called by family and friends, is the younger sister to Robert, one of our boys that have been with the project for nearly 2 years. Scolar is 16 years old and  in Secondary 2 (S2) this year. She is attending Maranatha Vocational Secondary School. Since she is in boarding school she will be going to school and then on holidays going back to her home village outside Homia, Uganda. In the future all of the new FHLM youth in this program will be in an arrangement like as this, as it is now a mandate from the Ugandan government to keep students close to any of their living family members or their guardian and have close ties to their home village. We are very excited to have Scolar became part of our sponsorship program. We would like to pass on our sincere thanks to her sponsor and we are looking forward to seeing her fly high and achieve her goals for the future.
