Rock ready for 1st day at secondary school

Good Ole’ Fashion Rule Days. Remember that funny little song? Well it is School Days here again in Masaka. You see the many students on backs of boda bodas with their mattress rolled tight, their steel case strapped to the back and their suite case clutched in hand wising by me headed to one of the many secondary or primary schools in town. It is an exciting time of year for all of us here at FHLM too. This year Rock, David and Robert will all be in attending Secondary school at Masaka S.S. This is a big accomplishment for the three boys and so exciting for them to be fulfilling their dreams. Especially for Rock since it is his first year in Secondary school! It will be a whole new world for him. I was very pound of him for getting a 1st grade on his Primary Leaving Exam (PLE). I know his future is bright and David and Robert are just furthering their knowledge on their way to a great career!

We spent this morning at the school registering Robert for Secondary 5 and Rock for Secondary 1. It was so interesting to see all the parents and the S5 and S1 students preparing to go back to school. I was just one of the many proud parents walking around Masaka SS today. As for David, since he is a Secondary 4 Candidate this year he had to go back to school 2 weeks ago. God willing that Friday’s Presidential elections are peaceful,  so the other two boys will be starting on Monday, 21 Feb.
