Babirye’s Easter Camp & Outreach Report
From 19-22 April, 2019 Babirye attended an inter-varsity Easter Camp-out at Garuga Beach near Entebbe town. This is Babirye’s report of what they did during their 4 days together.
We talked more about the book of Jonah and Jonah’s disobedience and his prayer. In the Bible Study Sessions we studied Chapter 1 & 2 and discussed and learnt the following:
- God’s infinite mercy for all people and our reluctance to share mercy
- Disobedience to God’s mission
- Attributes of God reflected in the book
- Ways in which we sometimes are like Jonah
We also had a session of counselling (girls alone and boys alone), where people asked different questions and we discussed sexual purity among other things.
During praise & worship every university participated and there were special songs, poems and dance presented by the students. We also had games among other things.
After camp our university cell group had an outing day to the beach and a ministry day to the surrounding community.
