Miracles and Healings are Real
For the last 5 days Masaka town has been changed and moved by a conference and crusade from Pastor Robert Kayanja. It was amazing! So many people received Jesus as their Lord and Savior and SO, SO many were healed from afflictions! The Holy Spirit was and is still moving in Masaka!
I’ve been very encouraged and Blessed by it all! But mostly it has taken a day or so for it all to sink in! I’ve seen the deaf and dumb receive hearing and speech, the lame walk again, the mad have peace, demons extracted, and people healed of diseases. It may be hard to fathom for people in the U.S. or the West but God does still do miracles through the Holy Spirit in anointed people of healing. I’m sure some of you reading this will have doubts that those people were actually healed and not just “paid off” for the “show” but I assure you it happened. Why in Masaka? Why in so many 3rd World countries do was still see miracles and healings like it happened during Jesus’ time on earth? Is it because we in the West (1st World) have so many doubts? That we don’t truly believe God can still move like that? Or because the people here are so ready to receive change and the Holy Spirit that God does the healings and miracles to show others, so they come to Christ? Or is it because the only hope the people have is in Jesus? Unlike the hope we in the West put into our material possessions. Think about it all…are you still in doubt and disbelief?
I’m a changed person because of the last few days. I have to tell you about something I saw. On Saturday night my friend, Jacqui, and I sat on the fringe of main lawn of the crusade because she can’t take the loud speaker noise. We could hear things happening in the crowd; healings were taking place. Then I look over to the side and I saw a young boy, maybe 8 or 9 years old, kind of walking around in the grass. I say kind of walking because he was still a little hunched over and his legs weren’t completely straight yet, but he as practicing walking. I think for the first time, because he just kept walking as fast as his “new found” legs could take him. As I watched and the time went on he got faster and his legs started to straighten up more and more. By that time his Mom had to run after him, because he was getting fast and out of her reach. This went on for at least an hour, till she tried to get him in the car but he wouldn’t have it! He wanted walk more and ran as fast as he could away from the car. This sight gave me such joy and as I’m writing about it my tears are back! It was SO GREAT to see! Imagine having use of your legs for the first time in 8 or 9 years? God is SO GOOD!
They are many other stories that I could tell you but just know that our God is a BIG God and He can do anything. Please don’t limit Him to just your understanding or experiences!
