FHLM April Update-Training, Movie Nite, Planning, Praise, End of Term

Greetings from Colorado Springs! Yes, I’m in the U.S.—Praise God! Below is how the Lord used us in April.
On 05 and 06 April I attended the last book of the John Maxwell- Equip Leadership Training volume 2 classes. We have been working on Volume 2 for the last three years. Over the course of the training I have gained a deeper perspective of how to be an effective leader, with Christ based principles. I want to thank Pastor Ross and his wife, Jennifer, from the U.S. for being so dedicated in training us over the years. These classes have truly lifted me to a new level of growth and realization on how the Lord wants me to live.
Our 1st FHLM Movie Nite was on 12 April at Plot 99. We have decided to reach out to the youth with “movies with a message”. This is an evangelistic approach to reaching the unsaved youth and helping to strengthen the walk of the saved youth in the community of Masaka. At our 1st movie night we showed the first of the Left Behind movie series. All 8 youth in attendance enjoyed the fellowship with soda and popcorns. After, we had a lively discussion about the movie, as some of them had never been taught about the rapture. Two of the young men told us that this helped them to gain a new understanding and they would be more serious about their walk with the Lord. We are excited to see how the Lord moves at our next Movie Nite scheduled for 18 May!
Throughout the month we continued to have many planning meetings about the KHOP/FHLM Unity Conference that is set to take place 19-21 June. The reason we are hosting this event is because Masaka has a great division among its Christian denominations. We have a passion to bring unity into the Christian body, just as it says in Psalms 133:1 Behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity! This has not been an easy feat, but during the month we continued to make strides in making this conference a reality, two of our biggest accomplishments were Deliverance Church-Masaka accepting to be the host venue for the event and gathering a prayer team of pastors & reverends to pray for the conference.
On 16 April we were all praising God, as we found out that British Airways had finally approved the re-instatement of my return ticket to the U.S., for travel on 24 April! That day was the beginning of a very hectic week finalizing all the items for my inter-U.S. travel, arranging U.S. speaking dates, getting things around for the family (Rock, David & Rogers) while I am away and putting the final touches on the conference and team plans. But with God’s grace and strength it was accomplished!
25 April marked the end of 1st Term for David and Rock and the beginning of 3 weeks of holiday. Enjoy guys! Sorry I’m not there to enjoy it with you guys.
As a family, Rogers and I continue to make strides in strengthening our ministry commitment to the community of Bulayi, where their church plant The Tabernacle is located. We are dedicated to those who have responded to our message, and make sure they are grown from conversion to ministry- discipled from babyhood to maturity through weekly Bible Studies & children’s ministry activities, and monthly door to door evangelism days.
We are truly blessed as an organization and a family to have prayer and financial support from people like you. Please continue to keep the below prayer request in your prayers. Thank you!
Have a wonderful day in Christ!
Rita

Prayer Request:
1. Please pray for the funding of $2000.00 for my round-trip return ticket to Uganda. That the Lord will use whoever and as many people as He sees fit to return me to carry on His work in Masaka.
2. Please pray for the Kingdom House of Prayer Missionaries, as they are in their final “push” for their arrangement before they land in Uganda on 10 June. Also for God use them mightily during their 2 weeks in country.
3. Please pray for the Lord to protect, guide, and keep healthy Rogers, David and Rock during my absence.
4. Please pray for continued safety as I travel round the U.S. and for continued favor with everyone I come in contact with—that I can share God’s love, light and Gospel with them.
