September was a HUGE month for Faith Hope Love Missions (FHLM)!!!

Greetings to you all!

September was a HUGE month for Faith Hope Love Missions (FHLM)!!!

After 6 months in process FHLM’s Registration to be a Limited by Guarantee Company (Non-Government Organization status) has been approved. We Praise God for that! Now we are moving forward with more programs, projects and this gives us room for more Kingdom growth!

FHLM Youth UOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERApdate: Rock & David’s Big Adventure in Kalangala was on 31 Aug & 01 Oct! I thank the Lord for ALL the 1st they had; ferry boat ride, being on an island, beach time, and seeing a ship and speed boat in person! We had a wonderful time of sightseeing, beach and forest walks, time with God and great talks around the camp fire.

On 07 September we had a Movie with a Message Day. The afternoon began at the FHLM Office with praise & worship and prayer. We start with about 10 youth, but when the music and drums starteOLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAd even some of the youth in the office building came up and joined in—we ended up with at least 30 youth & children praising God! Since the power was out we borrowed a generator and showed the youth, Facing the Giants! I’m always amazed at how this movie makes such an impact. By the end of the movie everyone was cheering for the winners and excited to see what God had done in their lives! There were two personal testimonies; Matthew talked about the hope the God had given the team & the coach and how this movie had given him hope for his future. Fatuma said she had been facing BIG giants in the last few months, but this movie showed her that with Christ you can overcome anything!!

Praise God! He answers prayers!!! Faridah is a young lady that we have been trying to get sponsorship for, as she has desired to go to university. She is an excellent student and performed very well in Secondary School. On 05 Sept God answered those prayers! Faridah found out she has received a Uganda Government Scholarship in Accounting at Uganda College of Commerce in Pakwach. Her scholarship funds her schooling, but her Academic Requirement Fees and her Hostel Housing still needed to be paid. This term we have been able to find the fund those fees, but we are still praying for a full time sponsor for her. The funds needed per Semester total $230.00 U.S. Please keep Faridah and the funds needed in your prayers. Thank you!! (For more info on Faridah please see her profile on our web-site)

Also the 3rd and final term of the school year started on 16 Sept. Both Rock and David were anxious to get back to school. This is David’s final year and term of secondary school! He will be starting his National Exams sometime around the end of October. Please keep David in prayer as his future plans for university or technical school depend on his exam scores.

The FHLM youth and I continue to attend the Soweto Youth Fellowship meetings each Wednesday night. The theme for Sept was “Addiction; How Can the Lord Heal You?” It has been an amazing month of personal testimonies and teaching from an American Missionary, Darren O and a Ugandan National, Daniel D. We have also seen a wonderful movie called, Ring the Bell, about surrendering your life to the Lord. Please pray for FHLM’s continued partnership with Soweto Youth Fellowship and what the Lord has in store for the two organizations.

On 11 Sept I received an invitation to preach to over 100 street children and youth at Human Rights for Street Kids Conference held here in Masaka. It was such a blessing to be able to share God’s word and share personal testimony of how the Lord has healed and changed me. I am thankful to my friend, Fatuma, for the invitation. To God be the glory!

On a personal note, Rogers and I moved on 28 Sept. We living much like a Ugandan family now–7 of us on the compound; our friends, Dave & Jacqui Dowdy from the U.K., Rock & David and also David’s brother, Julius. It has been a blessing having our big Ugandan family together again.

As you have read the Lord is moving! I’m so very excited to see ALL He has been doing! I want to thank all of you for your continued pray support, love and donations. May our Lord richly bless you and shine His light in your life!

Love and Blessings,

Rita
