Rainy day and school exams
As it pours down rain in Masaka, Lauren and I have just returned from church via a ride back home in one of the pastors cars. As much as it is difficult to move around here without a car when it rains, I’m very thankful for the rain! Masaka and the areas around here are experiencing a less then rainy season. This has resulted in a drought in the villages and the food prices going up!! Not good. Please pray we continue to get rain. Thanks!
Other than that things are good here with the ministry and the boys. Robert is finishing his S4 exams on Monday and will be back here. I am very proud of him for getting through and looking forward to him having a bright future. The S4 government exams are a BIG deal and with completion and good marks it will determine the next 2 years of school and what he can study in University! Rock also finished up P7 and his PLE government exams this past week. Next year he will be in Secondary school and moving forward with his future…yea! David started end of term exams on Friday and will finish up in a few weeks. So by the time I leave in Dec they will all be out of school. I’ve had a few meetings this last week with possible “volunteer internships” for both Rock and David. I’m trying to get Rock into a hotel, as he is interesting in cooking and catering. For David I’m working on a internship at a goat farm. I believe Robert wants to go back to his village for 90% of his school holiday.
As you can see life is good here in Masaka and we are all moving forward with God’s grace, mercy and guidance.
