March/April Update 2012–Back in Uganda, Wedding and Boys
I landed in Uganda on 17 March and the last month plus has been a whirlwind! The 2 weeks before the wedding was final preps, then the wedding, settling into a new household with my husband (Rogers), adjusting to that and then getting back into work mode. I’m finally coming down from ALL the craziness! If any of you are on Facebook you can view a few of our wedding photos. Thanks! It is wonderful to be married and Rogers and I are very excited to see all that God has for our journey together!
Well enough of me! The boys, Rock and David, are just finished up their End of 1st Term Exams. They broke off for holiday last Wednesday. I can’t believe that 1st Term is already over! I was talking to David last week about his first day of exams and he said that he was scared to do his first HSE (high school education) exam, but he said once the tenseness wore off he settled in. He is just so happy to be in High School! By the way, David’s class combination for HSE is economics, divinity, and geography. Rock is doing well. He said that French class is getting harder this year, but all his other classes are going well.
Since Holiday started David has been practicing hard with a Christian football (soccer) team that he is involved with and Rock is looking for a part time job. Thus far Rock has had no luck finding a short term job, but I hired him to do some odd jobs for me around the house. He was grateful for the money and is saving it for something special. He won’t tell me what yet 🙂 They will start Holiday school–refresher classes on 04 May.
So life back here in Masaka is getting back into a new but normal routine again.
