Joy of Football
You know I never used to like watching football (soccer), as they call it here in Uganda, but now I just enjoy watching the sport so much! As of last year, I became a Chelsea Football Club fan. That is much to the disappointment of my boys because they are either Manchester United (Man U) or Arsenal fans. Almost every week the boys, Rock, David and Robert, and I go on Saturday or Sunday and watch football at one of the local restaurants. I enjoy watching matches with all the passion and excitement as a veteran football fan and yesterday was no exception. We went over to Vienna Hotel to watch a very BIG match, Man U vs. Arsenal. Even though it wasn’t my “team” I was still interested in the match because the winner decided the fate of # 2 Chelsea in the standings. It was a great match with half-time bringing a null-null score. By the second half Arsenal scored and much to Rock’s chagrin I was very delighted. The match ended with a 1-0 score in favor of Arsenal and I was very happy because with the win it pushed #2 Chelsea into a tie of points for 1st place with Man U. Not only was I happy for the win, but it is so wonderful to enjoy bounding time with my boys. Thank you Lord for those moments in life!
