Furthering God’s Kingdom

I’ve been prompted by God to re-read the book of Acts. So in the last few months I’ve been digging deep into the each chapter and verse, really studying it. A week ago I read chapter 15 and came across verses 39 and 40 which read: Their disagreement over this was so sharp that they separated. Barnabas took John Mark with him and sailed for Cyprus. Paul chose Silas, and the believers sent them off, entrusting them to the Lord’s grace.
These passages really had deep meaning to me because even though they as persons disagreed and needed to separate God used both of them separately to minister to the new believers. They each had strong ideas and passions for the Lord’s work, but God used each of them differently to further His Kingdom as they parted ways. It opened up two separate missionary journeys and ministries for the Lord. As you see, God works even through conflict and disagreements. We as Christian’s don’t always agree but moving on and letting God’s will be done is what we need to do.
Likewise, God is moving me in the same way. He is moving me to a new and different ministry to further His Kingdom. I thank Him for that movement and I look forward to what lies ahead for me here in Uganda. Thank you Lord for always being my GPS! Please pray for me to see and hear His direction. Thank you!
