??????????????????????????????? ??????????????????????????????? ?????????????????????? ?????????????????????? IMG_6926 IMG_6927 IMG_6929 Rock's Scout Camp JulyGreetings and God’s blessings from all of us at Faith Hope Love Missions (FHLM)! Wow the month of July flown by, maybe because it was such a busy month for all of us! These verses are very fitting considering all that happened in July. Philippians 4:6-7 6 Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; 7 and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

Youth Update: The weekend of 04 July Rock and his fellow Scout members attended a Southern Region Camporee at Nabugabo Kasaka Campsite. His Scout troop placed 3rd in the competition out of 19 secondary school troops in attendance. They were able to advance to the National Camporee being help in Kampala on 08-13 August. Hope they win! July also marked the start of Rock’s Secondary 4 (sophomore year) Mock Exams. These exams are preparing him for the big Uganda National Examination Board (UNEB) Exams that will be held in November.

A BIG thank you to all that have prayed for Faridah! God has answered all our prayers! We were able to get her a job with Aunt Fay at Nurture Baby’s Home doing some accounting (her degree) and working with the babies. Faridah has also moved into the house with us until she goes back to school in early Sept. All of this has been a blessing for her and I praise God that He has made a way for her and moved her out of the persecution and family issues she was experiencing. Now she can pray openly, go to church, youth fellowship and be the young woman God intended her to be! Praise the Lord!

As we said last month David has been researching universities to continue his studies, so he and I spent the days of 24-25 July near Entebbe doing a site-visit at Nagenda International Academy of Art & Design (NIAAD). We were both impressed at the academies programs, courses, facilities, and use of practical, hands-on teaching; which was unlike the other universities he had researched. While there we submitted his application for admission and prayed he would be admitted. The next week we heard back from the Director of Studies saying that he had been admitted to study for a Diploma in Communication Design; Visual Communication Design, Design Drawing, Design Illustration, Design Photography/Videography, Business Practices etc. Praise God that he is on the road to fulfilling his dream! I thank everyone that prayed for him!

Office/Center & Youth Program Update:

Thank you for all that has been praying for the issue with the Youth Center! We still have not heard back from Masaka District regarding our concerns and questions about the renewal of our lease, the rent increase and/or the possible eviction at the end of August, but we are still hopeful and prayerful!! Please keep lifting this situation and our uncertainty about the office center location up in prayer. Thank you!

On 12 July we had another wonderful monthly Movie with a Message Day with the youth. We watched a great movie called Cutback, about giving your life to the Lord and knowing that no matter what happens in life He is there for you. Its key verse was Proverbs 3:5-6 Trust in the Lord with all your heart, And lean not on your own understanding; In all your ways acknowledge Him, And He shall direct your paths. What great verses to live by!

The morning of 14 July Darren O and I went to Kijjabwemi Secondary School for our FHLM Monthly Visit with the students. The Word for the day was Hebrews 11:1-10 and Matthew 6:24-34. Darren shared his testimony of how the Lord brought him back to life, and made him a new creation. I followed up with a word about God’s love for them, having faith and then prayed for their end of term 2 exams. It was an awesome time! I praise God that we are able to share the Lord’s word and minister to these youth!!

During the month of July we held three Basic Computer Training classes at the center for the youth of H.U.G. and FHLM. We were blessed to have our friend, Reggie Amade, a former IT Specialist with the European Union, training the youth. David said this about the class. “The classes are going on well, the training is very interesting and we have learned a lot! Our teacher has been kind and has taught us well. I am looking forward to more classes”. We are VERY thankful to Reggie for teaching and also to Mike Fouts for donating three of the laptops used. You two men have changed these youth’s lives! May God Bless you!

Our-weekly Youth of Destiny-After-School program has been changed a bit, as the students were unable to attend on Mondays, so we have changed it to Tuesday and Friday. The new days of the week have worked out well and we are now disciplining and teaching the Bible to 7 to 11 youth on a weekly basis.

Missionary Update:
The first weekend of July I was able to attend my friend, Susan’s Traditional Wedding Introduction held in Entebbe. Unfortunately Rogers was unable to attend as he was sick, but he wanted me to go to represent the family. It was such a lovely day and the most beautiful Introduction that I have ever attended. I thank Susan and her future husband, John, for letting me be a part of their special day. May God bless them and their future wedding!

As you have read it has been a exciting month with all if its uncertainty and changes God brought us lots of praise and blessings too! As the verse in Proverbs said…lean not on your own understanding and He will direct your paths. Thank you to all of you that have prayed for us during the uncertain times, and those that continue to stand with us in prayer. Also a BIG Thank You to our monthly donors! Without you none of this could happen. May God continue to bless and keep you all!
Love and Blessings,
Rita
