SOAR Youthz School Sponsorship
“Hope manifests itself in different ways. For these youth is going to school”
SOAR Youth Program
We believe that within all young people is greatness. Every young person in Uganda and beyond should have the self-belief and resiliency to fulfill their highest potential and dare to dream.
As a SOAR Youth Program Sponsor, you are connected with one special youth in our program that will know your name, write to you and feel your tender love and prayers. The SOAR Youth are either orphaned or vulnerable and come from very poor and needy families in the Masaka Region. Your monthly School Sponsorship gift goes directly to the Youth’s educational fees and school requirements for a school term. If you decide to become a Youthz School Sponsor today you will make a difference in transforming a youth’s life!
The funds provided will not only give them their basic school fees, but also school requirements; notebooks, pens, pencils, art supplies, school meals, and other school requirements. You may also choose to be a Residential Sponsor for a youth’s daily needs and upkeep! If you choose to do so please advise the Director via e-mail. Thank you! The below SOAR Youthz Need School or Residential Sponsorship:
Meet the Sponsorship Youthz .
Ronald (Ronnie) Lubega: He is 14 years old and soon to be our newest SOAR Youth. He will join Secondary 1 (7th grade) when the 2025 school year starts in February. He is the second oldest of 5 children. His father died in 2019 when he was 9 years old and his mother was forced to move from the village to Masaka city to get work to provide for the family. She supports their weekly needs by selling vegetables, and washing other peoples clothes. After Ronnie completed Primary 7 she was unable to send him to secondary school. He accepted Jesus in January 2023 and since has had a thirst for learning the Word and prayer! For the last 6 months he has been working part-time learning landscaping and general construction, but he is excited to start secondary school. He has a desire to learn and become a Civil Engineer. If you are led to support Ronnie and his dreams with a $35.00 monthly donation please click on the link below.
Elvin Mark Kiggundu: He is 15 years old and our newest SOAR Youth. He joined Secondary 2 at Masaka Secondary School in Feb. Both his mother and father have passed away, so he is being taken care of by a family friend. He was the only child of his father and mother’s union and has no other siblings. He sometimes visits his grandmother in the village during holidays. We praise God that he gave his life to Christ in April! He is a joyous boy and likes football and video games. He aspires to be a Civil Engineer someday. We hope that FHLM can become his family! We are in need of a FULL TIME SPONSOR for him at $30.00 per month. Ruth Nakanwagi: She came to FHLM in Feb 2023. She is 19 years old and is in Secondary 3 (Freshman). We found out about Ruth’s situation through a teacher at school. She has four siblings each from different fathers and they have also been separated from the mother. She is a lovely and courageous young lady that has already been through many obstacles in life. She is a bright student, but due to family issues and lack of fees her time in school and grades have suffered. She was placed by the local council man with her maternal aunt to live and be raised by her. Because of on-going issues with her mom we felt it necessary for her safety, well-being and mental health to move her from her Aunt’s home to the director’s home. She is now part of the FHLM Residential Program and will be able to fully concentrate on school and not be distracted. Ruth fellowships at Full Gospel- Katwe/Masaka where she is an on the intercessor prayer team. She enjoys playing netball, and reading novels. She hopes to one day be a Pharmacist. We are thankful to God to be able to give her an education and new start in life.

She never knew her father, as he disappeared. Her Aunt is able to care for her by selling fish, but unable to pay for her school fees. She became a born again Christian at the FHLM Jan. 2023 Youth Camp and she fellowships at Victory Church- Nyendo. She is an overall good student, but has had difficulties with grades due to lack of school fees and inconsistency of school attendance.
